The West Milford Highlanders entered their tilt with the Lakeland Regional Lancers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. West Milford enjoyed a cozy 62-48 victory over the Lancers on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for West Milford, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Lakeland Regional still got an impressive performance from Noah Pagan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Lynn, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Lakeland Regional smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. This was only their ninth loss (out of 12 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
West Milford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Lakeland Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.
West Milford will be playing at home against the Colts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Kinnelon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Lakeland Regional, they will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Hills has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
