Shorecrest Prep never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Boca Ciega Pirates as they made off with an 11-0 win. Considering the Chargers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bobbie Strus made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Madi Bidwell was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Georgia Strus was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
