Lancaster is ranked highly in their home state and   on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Independence. The Lancaster Bruins managed  a  70-66 victory over the Independence Patriots. The  win was familiar territory for the Bruins who have now won four  games in a row.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lancaster to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jordan Watford, who  went 7 of 10  en route to 17  points along with seven  assists and seven  boards. Watford is  on a roll when it comes to  points, as he's  now  scored 15 or more in the last six games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Columbus Parker, who  went 6 of 11  on his way to 16 points.
 Despite the  defeat, Independence saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Lusemo Macharia  almost  dropped  a double-double on 13  points and nine  boards. The dominant performance also gave  Macharia a new career-high in  assists (four). Another player making a difference was  Kaleb Jasper, who  went 5 of 10  on his way to 12 points and eight  assists.
Lancaster's record now sits at 9-1. As for Independence,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.
 Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  94-82  victory against Cannon on the 28th. As for Independence, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  55-31  win against Catawba Ridge on the 28th.
