The Tell City Marksmen suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-21 loss at the hands of South Spencer. Tell City has not had much luck with South Spencer recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
South Spencer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Schulte led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Schulte has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendalyn Shourds, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Tell City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for South Spencer, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing North Posey the next time they take the court. Tell City will host North Posey at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while South Spencer will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
