The Mary Walker Chargers pushed their score all the way to 36 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 60-36 defeat at the hands of Soap Lake. Mary Walker lost against Soap Lake in their previous head to head back in September of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-28 score last time.
Soap Lake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Landdeck, who picked up 271 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Jairo Lopez was another key contributor, throwing for 353 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 passes.
Mary Walker has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Soap Lake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
