Despite the loss, Basis Independent Silicon Valley still got an impressive performance from Justin Wang, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. Wang scored a full 35.7% of Basis Independent Silicon Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Ji, who scored 12 points.
Basis Independent Silicon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Monta Vista, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Basis Independent Silicon Valley will be playing at home against Del Mar at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monta Vista, they will face off against Live Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
