Washburn Rural found their leader in underclassman John Hoytal, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoytal has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Ballard, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Washburn Rural's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Willard, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
