Baseball Game Preview: Rock Creek Mustangs vs. Achille Golden Eagles

Rock Creek has gone a perfect 5-0 against Achille recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rock Creek made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Coleman, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Wildcats on Thursday.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Achille took on Milburn on Thursday. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Rock Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Achille, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Rock Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Achille in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 13-8. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
