The Hillcrest Panthers stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wilson 50-11 on the road. With Hillcrest ahead 27-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Emma Yurich was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Victoria Hlavaty, who scored five points along with seven assists and six steals.
Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Wilson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
Hillcrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson is coming into the contest with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Hillcrest will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
