Everything went their way against Wellington as Poudre Community Academy made off with a 82-56 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Poudre Community Academy has managed all season.
Poudre Community Academy had a senior duo take command as Ian Voetelink dropped a double-double on 30 points and 18 rebounds and Miguel Apolonio dropped a double-double on 32 points and 16 rebounds. Voetelink is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Armando Granados-Porter was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight assists and eight steals.
The win got Poudre Community Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Wellington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Poudre Community Academy will head out on the road to face off against Twin Peaks Charter Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Twin Peaks Charter Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Wednesday. As for Wellington, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Estes Park at 7:00 p.m.
