Football Recap: Scotus Skates Past Schuyler with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scotus). They breezed past the Schuyler Warriors to the tune of 76-9 on Thursday. With the Shamrocks ahead 56-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

It was another big night for Thomas Settje, who rushed for 163 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Evan Cameron got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Scotus was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory snapped Scotus' losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Schuyler, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Scotus has already played their next contest, a 35-3 defeat against Lakeview on the 10th. As for Schuyler, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-0 loss against O'Neill on the 10th.
