Given Grace Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Peoples Baptist Academy is ranked 527th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ethan Riesberg continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 18 points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocks. Zion Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Sweatman, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jadon Collins, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Grace Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Grace Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Sugar Hill Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sugar Hill Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, they will be playing at home against Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian School of Griffin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Peoples Baptist Academy likes a good challenge.
