Manchester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laziya Moody, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermiah Martin, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Miller County still got an impressive performance from Zariyona Williams, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Williams scored a full 33.3% of Miller County's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Hannah Cratic was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Miller County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will finish 2023 at home by hosting Troup County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miller County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pelham at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Pelham presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Miller County in Georgia (Pelham is ranked 177th, while Miller County is ranked 421st).
