Hayfield pushed their record up to 18-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Mount Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
Hayfield will play host again and welcome Edison, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Edison likes a good challenge.
