The Trego Golden Eagles will be playing at home against the Victoria Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Trego lost to Hodgeman County on the road by a decisive 50-34 margin. Trego has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Victoria was the victim of a rough 57-37 loss at the hands of Osborne on Tuesday. Victoria has not had much luck with Osborne recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Victoria had strong showings from Seth Schwien, who scored 12 points, and Brody Nowak, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds. Schwien scored a full 32.4% of Victoria's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dighton's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Trego's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Trego beat Victoria 51-40 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will Trego repeat their success, or does Victoria have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
