The Denmark lost against the Lambert Longhorns back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Denmark fell 38-30 to Lambert. While losing is never fun, Denmark can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Lambert is ranked 39th).
Lambert's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Jett Conley and Thomas Hall who racked up four sacks between them.
Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lambert, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denmark will take on Milton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Milton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Lambert, they will head out on the road to face off against South Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
