Mayer scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antelope Rams. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Antelope's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abraham Moreno, who posted 20 points along with seven steals and five boards. Moreno is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Trane Figueroa was another key player, putting up seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Mayer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Antelope, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mogollon at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Antelope, they will venture away from home to take on San Pasqual Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
