If the Rockledge Raiders were riding high off their 33-13 takedown of the Merritt Island Mustangs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rockledge fell just short of Eau Gallie by a score of 20-17. Rockledge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eau Gallie apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Although Rockledge took the loss, they still got scores from Jamarcus Giscombe and Lorenzo Bell jr.
Even if they lost, Rockledge's defense sure didn't make it easy: Eau Gallie's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. In that department, D?mari Jenkins was the leader with two sacks.
Rockledge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eau Gallie, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Rockledge will take on Cocoa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cocoa will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Eau Gallie, they will head out on the road to face off against Melbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Melbourne is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
