Carroll County proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by 19) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Bellevue Tigers  5-3. The  win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three  games in a row.
 Luke Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Coy Willhoite, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That  triple was  his first of the season.  Treavin Shovlin was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Carroll County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bellevue, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
