Heritage is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Lenoir City is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mountaineers will welcome the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Lenoir City's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Heritage's win against Bearden wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountaineers had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 7-5. Lenoir City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Heritage was able to grind out a solid win over Lenoir City in their previous matchup back in March, winning 6-3. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
