The Noblesville Millers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Marion by a score of 58-46. Given Noblesville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Marion is ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Noblesville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Walston, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Smits, who scored ten points.
Noblesville's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Noblesville is on the road again on Friday and play against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Anderson will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Marion will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence North at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th.
