The Zillah Leopards were the 42-6 winner over the Naches Valley Rangers when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Zillah received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 30-14 to Naches Valley. That means Zillah has now suffered back-to-back defeats.
Dylan Mueller was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Naches Valley also got a significant boost from Thane Denny, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 117 yards.
Zillah has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Naches Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zillah will take on Selah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Selah will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Naches Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wapato at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
