On Monday, the Dunbar Crimson Tide faced the McKinley Tech Trainers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dunbar breezed by McKinley Tech on the road to the tune of 58-18. The success was a return to things as normal for Dunbar, who in their previous outing suffered a shocking 74-33 upset defeat to Archbishop Carroll.
Dunbar was led to victory by Luv Barron and Emorean Thomas. Barron scored 17 points, while Thomas scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barron has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Demi Marshall, who scored 11 points.
Dunbar has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for McKinley Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Dunbar will head out on the road to square off against Banneker at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for McKinley Tech, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Anacostia at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
