The Santana Sultans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Canyon Hills on the road and fell 68-36. Santana has not had much luck with Canyon Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Sultans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeffrey Van Oostende, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Kane, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Santana's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Canyon Hills, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Santana will head out on the road to face off against West Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon Hills, they will take on O'Farrell Charter at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
