The Hargrave Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosby. Hargrave lost against Crosby in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-32 score last time.
Crosby can attribute much of their success to Lamaya Clark, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Clark has scored at least 25% of Crosby's points. Another player making a difference was Savannah Mckinnerney, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Hargrave has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Crosby, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hargrave will square off against Splendora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crosby, they will head out on the road to face off against Barbers Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barbers Hill is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
