Meanwhile, Cardozo faced the Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cardozo snuck past the Knights with a 56-52 victory on Wednesday.
Cardozo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Young led the charge by scoring 14 points. Wisdom Carter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cardozo, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
