After a string of four wins, The East Hardy Cougars''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Doddridge County. East Hardy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Doddridge County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2020.
The critical scores for Doddridge County came from Brycen Eidel, Talyn Snyder, and Seth Cass.
East Hardy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Doddridge County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Hardy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Doddridge County, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamstown and Doddridge County are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
