The Webber Trojans have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sandoval 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Webber has posted against the Blackhawks since February 23, 2021.
Webber's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allie Smith, who scored 14 points. Kadi Bain was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Webber has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-22 record this season. As for Sandoval, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-17.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Farina South Central the next time they take the court. Webber will head out to face the Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blackhawks will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
