CHANDLER, Ariz. -
Arizona Lutheran Academy (Phoenix, Ariz.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 41-32 victory over
Valley Christian (Chandler, Ariz.) on Saturday. The Coyotes captured the lead for good when it ran for a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
TJ Widner, the Trojans went into halftime with a 20-7 lead. The Coyotes took the lead for good with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Arizona Lutheran Academy still trailed by 5 points going into the fourth quarter. But 20 points in the fourth helped ALA pull out the victory.
Tyler Koehler played well for the Phoenix school in the victory. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Widner played well for Valley Christian. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown, ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
The Coyotes also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 55-14.
With the win Arizona Lutheran Academy extended its winning streak to three games.
