Kennedy had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but George Washington put an end to it on Tuesday. The Commanders lost 20-0 to the Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Commanders in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Westminster ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rangeview, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Robert Atencio made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Tony sisneros was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Grant Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Westminster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rangeview only managed four.
Westminster's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Westminster's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kennedy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Westminster, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Kennedy's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
