Baseball Recap: Paulding Has No Trouble Against Hilltop

Paulding had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-6 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Hilltop Cadets. That looming 9-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

As for Hilltop, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. They have struggled against Paulding recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Hilltop's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terry Rebeck, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paulding will head out to face off against Antwerp at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hilltop, they will venture away from home to square off against Pettisville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackbirds have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
