The Jefferson Township Broncos lost against the West Jefferson Roughriders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jefferson Township took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Jefferson.
Jefferson Township lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Devyn Daniels, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. Daniels is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah McDaniel, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Jefferson Township's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Jefferson, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.
Jefferson Township will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cincinnati College Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. As for West Jefferson, they will head out on the road to take on Fairbanks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairbanks presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Jefferson in Ohio (Fairbanks is ranked 273rd, while West Jefferson is ranked 800th).
