Gilroy scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. 2025 welcomed they with a 75-49 loss courtesy of the St. Francis Sharks. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Gilroy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for St. Francis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilroy will welcome Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for St. Francis, they will host King City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Francis is facing King City at the right time seeing as King City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
