Falls City is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Rocksprings is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Falls City Beavers will take on the Rocksprings Angoras at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Falls City had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed by Iola on the road to the tune of 35-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falls City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylon Johnson, who rushed for 199 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Moy, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Rocksprings humbled Woodsboro with a 64-8 victory.
Their wins bumped Falls City to 8-3 and Rocksprings to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for Falls City against Rocksprings in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 as the team secured a 66-20 victory. Will Falls City repeat their success, or does Rocksprings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
