The Goode STEM Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 11th straight loss. They took a hard 54-39 fall against Juarez. Goode STEM Academy has not had much luck with Juarez recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Juarez's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Flores, who scored 15 points. Flores' trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Martha Patino, who scored 13 points.
Goode STEM Academy dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.6 points per game. As for Juarez, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.
Goode STEM Academy will take on South Shore International at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Shore International is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Juarez, they will head out on the road to challenge Kennedy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennedy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
