Baseball Recap: Northland Prep Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Northland Prep Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Many Farms Lobos 17-6. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Wyatt Massey was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Colson Skersick also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Massey wasn't the only one making solid contact: Northland Prep Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Northland Prep Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Many Farms, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northland Prep Academy will square off against Pinon at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.67 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Many Farms, they will face off against St. Johns at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
