St. Michael waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Antonian Prep Apaches as they made off with a 92-71 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

St. Michael's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Disu out in front who went 8 for 11 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Disu has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Nolan Barkley was another key player, going 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points and six boards.

St. Michael's was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antonian Prep only racked up eight assists.

Despite the defeat, Antonian Prep had strong showings from Jamail Garland, who went 8 for 14 en route to 22 points, and Amare Guerra, who went 10 of 19 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mj Meurer, who posted ten points.

St. Michael's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.6 points. As for Antonian Prep, their loss ended a 17-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 30-5.

St. Michael's and Antonian Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. St. Michael's will face off against Savio at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th up 924 places (5 vs. 929). St. Michael's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Antonian Prep (ranked 26th) will meet TMI-Episcopal (ranked 187th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
