Forest led 3A Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on McLaurin.
The Bearcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,102 from 4,158. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 47-19 victory over the Tigers last week.
5-foot-6 quarterback Jymier Slocum of Morton is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1501. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, McLaurin's Eric McGee has rushed for 905 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tanner Menist. The St. Andrews Episcopal star has 45 catches for 628 yards.
Marc Herrington's team's McGee is a mere 95 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Forest takes on St. Andrews Episcopal. As it stands, Hamer Morgan's team is in second, while the Saints are in third.
