The South Kitsap Wolves will face off against the Emerald Ridge Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Kitsap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.
Last Wednesday, South Kitsap earned a 7-2 victory over Bethel. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won seven in a row.
Maleah Sawyers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sawyers was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

South Kitsap kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Emerald Ridge entered their tilt with Olympia on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won six games by 11 runs or more so far this season.
Alanna Wirtala spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jayda Guadron and Abygale Redwine did most of the damage at the plate: Guadron went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Redwine went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Guadron has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Puttler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Emerald Ridge's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for South Kitsap, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. South Kitsap has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Emerald Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South Kitsap came out on top in a nail-biter against Emerald Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
