The Somerset Eagles missed an extra point against the Bellefonte Raiders on Friday and it came back to haunt them. Somerset was just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to Bellefonte. Somerset's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it five in a row.
Camden Lowery and Rowan Holmes certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Lowery rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown, while Holmes rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Somerset's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.7 points per game. As for Bellefonte, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.
Somerset does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bellefonte also has no future games currently scheduled.
