The Cuero Gobblers will head out on the road to face off against the Jasper Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Cuero is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
With a playoff game on the line, Cuero rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 44-33 win over Hamshire-Fannett. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Cuero can attribute much of their success to Mason Notaro, who threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns, and Kenneth Jackson, who gained 85 total yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Jasper can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Connally 50-7 at home. Given Jasper's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Connally is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Cuero to 12-0 and Jasper to 8-4.
