Meanwhile, Mahtomedi put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Tartan, posting a 72-37 victory on the road. The victory was nothing new for Mahtomedi as they're now sitting on four straight.
Orono has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Mahtomedi, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
