The Alvord Bulldogs were the 58-32 winner over the Collinsville Pirates when they last played one another on January 5th, but their luck changed this time around. Alvord took a hard 56-40 fall against the Pirates on Tuesday.
Collinsville found their leader in underclassman Chad Davidson, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Davidson posted eight or more assists. Carter Scott was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Alvord's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Collinsville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Alvord will head out on the road to square off against the Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Era has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Collinsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
