Even though the Kellis Cougars scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs still came out on top. Sunrise Mountain walked away with a 64-55 win over Kellis. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sunrise Mountain.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunrise Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Hammond, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Andrew Balian was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Sunrise Mountain's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Kellis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunrise Mountain and Paradise Valley will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
