Great Bend is 2-8 against Hays since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Great Bend Panthers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hays Indians at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Great Bend knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Hays likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Great Bend gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Thomas More Prep-Marian, posting a 66-24 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Great Bend has posted since December 12, 2023.
Meanwhile, Hays didn't have too much trouble with Liberty at home on Saturday as they won 62-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hays.
Great Bend's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Hays, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Great Bend came up short against Hays in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 46-42. Can Great Bend avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
