On Thursday, the North Moore Mustangs beat the Richmond Raiders 10-6. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mustangs.

 Sydney Russell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Ansley Preslar was  incredible,  going 1-for-5 with one  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Adrianna Patterson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
North Moore's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Looking ahead, North Moore will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Western Harnett  at 6:00  p.m. As for Richmond, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will  take on  Montgomery Central  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
