Genesis Prep has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Web of Wisdom Wizards at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Genesis Prep: 28.8, Web of Wisdom: 21) so any points scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Genesis Prep came up short against Classical Christian School for the Arts and fell 28-15.
Meanwhile, Web of Wisdom beat Solid Rock Community 26-15 on Thursday. The victory was just what Web of Wisdom needed coming off of a 38-3 loss in their prior match.
Web of Wisdom found their leader in underclassman Samara Zabran, who scored 13 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Zabran has scored at least a third of Web of Wisdom's points.
Genesis Prep's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Web of Wisdom, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.
Genesis Prep was dealt a bruising 47-8 loss at the hands of Web of Wisdom in their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
