Everything went their way against Triangle Math & Science as Chatham Charter made off with a 61-41 victory. Winning is a bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 26% better than the opposition, as Chatham Charter's was.
It was another big night for Meah Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 20 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Headen, who scored 23 points.
Meanwhile, Clover Garden School put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 63-14 win over Ascend Leadership. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Clover Garden School considering their 22-point performance the contest before.
Clover Garden School found their leader in underclassman Hanna Tickle, who scored 21 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tickle has scored all season. Kennedy Harrelson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Chatham Charter's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Clover Garden School, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Everything went Chatham Charter's way against the Grizzlies when the teams last played back in January as the Knights made off with a 64-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chatham Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
