Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lynn Bears walked away with it. They blew past Shoals Christian, posting a 53-7 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Lynn, who have now won ten games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Cale Tittle was his usual excellent self, throwing for 264 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Blake Boyd was another key contributor, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
The victory (which was Lynn's ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.11 points. As for Shoals Christian, they have yet to win a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-6 record.
Lynn will face off against Coosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Coosa Christian is ranked 184th, while Lynn is ranked 192nd). Shoals Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
