The Hephzibah Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 68-58 to Cross Creek. Hephzibah has not had much luck with Cross Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Hephzibah lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ashton Brown, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Traeon Brown, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Hephzibah's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Cross Creek, their victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Salem the next time they take the court. Cross Creek will head out to face Salem at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Hephzibah will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
